Meeting was called to order at 6:04 by President Ross Wady.
A: Introductions Made, no new Business was brought up from the June 1st meeting.
B: Ross Wady Current President Resigned as GTA Leader at 6:07pm. Vice President Jeff Scanlon is not available to take his place.
Rick Makepeace will be taking over at GTA president for the 2010-2011 year.
Kim Murray from Summit Glass volunteered to head the GTA as president until Rick Makepeace takes over the duty. Everyone in accordance, Kim Murray new President of GTA as of 6:12pm.
C: Committee Reports
Apprenticeship: Lynn Allan – First year classes started on September 14th and were full. 2nd Year classes starting in January and there are still a few spots left. 3rd Year classes starting in May 2010. Class codes were in the newsletter, if you need any additional information please contact Lynn.
Golf – Ryan Ardiel – Innisfail tournament had good turnout, South took it. Total number of attendees was somewhere in the 50’s. Greg West ran the tournament. Ryan Ardiel is looking into running it next year. He is still looking for a location, if anyone has any suggestions please let him know.
The GTA golf tournament will be at Sandpiper again next year unless anyone has any objections.
If anyone would be interested in starting up a Softball league for the GTA and heading it, there were interested people at the meeting but no one who would like to organize it.
Treasurers Report – Joe Millard – Invoices for membership should be going out at the end of September with an Audited report coming in October.
Safety – Sonny Nguyen – The Safety presentation will be in October on the 5th. Our presenter will be Ken Muller from Sperian Fall Protection. The Fall Arrest/Rescue presentation will help our members set up a program among their own employees to assist them in protecting themselves from accidents and how to deal with an accident should it occur.

November will be Vivian Manasc LEED (this was changed at Executive meeting – We are trying to get a presenter from the health region to discuss workplace health issues and seasonal flu concerns)
December Meeting will be a Wine & Cheese evening for our Enjoyment of the Holiday Season
January Meeting will be the SAIT Student Apprenticeship and Awards Night
