Call for Glazier Apprenticeship Material
To All GAMA Members:
As you may know, I am rewriting some of the apprenticeship material and adding it to the curriculum for the glazier course at SAIT. We would like to know from industry if there are any topics that should be included in this new material. It could be as simple as an idea about a topic that I could write about or it could be a complete write up with diagrams or photographs. We will look at any information you have and place it in the proper year of the apprenticeship course. With your help we can make this the best glazing course there is. I will be speaking briefly about this at the GAMA general meeting on Thursday Jan. 12th. If you wish we can set up a meeting to discuss some of your ideas. All the material developed for these projects are checked by all instructors and a whole team of people at SAIT. Any information can be e-mailed to me.

The trustees of the Calgary Construction Association (CCA) Education Fund are pleased to announce for the tenth consecutive year, that six - $1,000 scholarships are available for employees and family members of CCA member firms. These scholarships will be presented at your industry association’s annual general meeting on March 5th, 2012 at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino.

2011 Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board Awards a great success!
Apprenticeship and Industry Training would like to thank all special awards sponsors and representatives for their contribution at the 2011 Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board Awards.
We are currently in the process of printing out photos from the awards ceremony. If you or your organization would like a copy please before noon, Tuesday, April 19th.

Special Guest Coming to General Meeting
We have a very special guest coming this month from Tremco Inc. to present a topic. The meeting this month will be on April 28th at the Royal Executive Inn West Edmonton 10010 178th Street. Dinner will be 30.00$ a plate for members and 35.00$ a plate for non-members. We will have some non members invited to this meeting due to the speciality of the topic.
Dinner is served at 6pm and we are hoping to start the presentation around 7pm. 50/50 tickets are 3 for 5$. Please have all RSVP’s in by April 21st end of Day. Thank you and hope to see many of you there!
