- Safe driving is the highlight of this months report from driving through construction zones (RIP) to proper backing of a vehicle in the work place and work sites.
- Jim Cossar is also going to have the electronic mail out as well for all.
- Jim Brady has asked for Trevor to do a report on Hot Work Permits and what is covered by them.

- Annual Golf tourney raised of $56k for scholarships
- changes to Gold Seal effective Jan 2012
- More and more job sites are going to be Gold Seal Certified as we advance the program
- Try A Trade Program, is looking at expanding the program to allow grades 7 and up to take part in the program, hopefully to be run through SAIT, as the school system is controlled by the principal of the school looks at shop programs as a money loser, as the schools get paid by the number of Students, not the quality of program, so they are shutting down the shop programs to put 60 students in space that can only have 20-30 for shop courses.
- The Early Warning Systems for wind is in the testing stage right now, moving forward slowly.

- Package is on the table for the Glass Show in October in Edmonton
- Provincial Golf Tourney rose over $30k for scholarships, thanks go Jim Brady, Dan Rogers and the rest of the organizing committee. Be prepared for next year as they are looking to expand on the monies raised next year.
- Web site is now active, if you have any changes you wish to make or add into the site please send Jim Brady or Jim Cossar a line.

- Glass Connections in Edmonton on Oct. 27th is being run by CCA
- Please make sure you get your company involved in this event.

- Looking for a Full Time Instructor for the Edmonton Glaziers courses
- There is some room left for some students in Edmonton
- AIT is asking for a second 1st year course as well they might be looking at an additional 2nd year course. There is presently 112 apprentices in Edmonton with the total apprentices for the province at over 300 students

- At the last LAC meeting there was 3 actions to be addressed by the PAC with the issues with PAC, there needs to be action by AIT to make sure there is enough members of the PAC to allow the LAC to work properly.
